Reaching out to a teen audience.
I worked on the pitch and launch of Student Life, an outreach magazine sent out to targeted schools and colleges to attract applicants to Plymouth University. I wanted to keep the design bold and playful, taking cues from video games to appeal to the teen audience. I commissioned illustration and directed photoshoots, even shooting a few myself. The magazine proved successful and Plymouth saw an 87% increase in applications. The magazine also won two awards: CASE Circle of Excellence and The CMA’s International Content Marketing Award.
